For over 190 years, First Presbyterian Church has been a community of God's grace, witnessing and participating in the changing life of Ashland, KY. In 2006, the congregation renewed their commitment to sharing God's grace in this community and in the wider arena of God's creation. Located in the center of Ashland, Kentucky, we share the grace of Jesus Christ.

We are Presbyterian. We have a proud heritage of history. We are reformed, believing that God's amazing love and grace extend to us not because of our wellness, but because of God's goodness. We believe God is intimately involved in all creation, and is involved with even you! We believe that our dutiful response to God's gracious attitude toward us is faith, both lived and acted out in a myriad of ways.

We are Christian, fully relying on the grace of God as expressed through Jesus Christ. We take Jesus seriously when he spoke, "I am the way, the truth, and the life, no one comes to the father except through me." As our faith and trust in Jesus Christ provides our solid foundation, we are comfortable asking questions, searching for answers, and striving for the reconciliation of all humanity to Christ. We welcome those who hunger or thirst, who labor or who are heavy laden. . . Christ will give you rest.
